Daraufhin steht eine kurze Biographie des Autors, gefolgt von einer ausführlichen Werksbetrachtung. Im Anschluss daran soll dann die Frage geklärt werden, ob Defoes Roman nach den genannten Kriterien ein Klassiker der KJL ist, bevor eine Würdigung des Werkes die Arbeit beschließt.
